WATER POLO CAMP

Q. I AM A SUMMER CAMP PARTICIPANT, HOW CAN I GET TO THE LOCATION EASILY?

  • By car looking for Elite Water Polo Camp on Google Map

  • By train by getting off at Loano station and booking the free transfer via the pdf you will receive post registration

  • By plane at Genoa airport by booking the transfer for a fee (50 Euro A/R) via the pdf you will receive post registration. The 8-seater van travels only on the start and end day of camp

Q. WHEN IS THE MEETING SCHEDULED ON THE FIRST DAY?

A. The first day training is announced by the organization well in advance. This year the start of the camp will be on Sunday afternoon and the end on Saturday morning. Parents who are unable to bring or get the kids in time for the first practice will be able to:

  • Reserve an extra night during registration at a neighboring hotel

  • To arrive directly for the second training.

  • Ask us to put them in touch with some parents in neighboring areas (with prior permission)

Q. WHEN IS THE RETURN SCHEDULED FOR THE LAST DAY?

A. The camp finishes after the first morning practice. To follow will be:

  • photos with coaches,staff and families

  • EWPC Merchandising

  • photo booth with our photographers

    N.B. for any needs, parents may request to leave before the scheduled end of the camp (upon prior notice).

 

Q. CAN PARENTS COME TO THE CAMP?

A. Sure! but we do NOT provide a reservation service for them. there are 2 hotels we rely on for parents: Loano 2 Village and Ai Pozzi Village both 4* 

Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMP?

A. Each year through the brochure we communicate the ages and groups we accept. The Camp is suitable for: boys, girls, disabled water polo players, coaches and parents.

Q. I AM A GIRL, IS IT POSSIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?

A. Sure, just practice water polo.

Q. HOW MANY TRAINING SESSION EVERY DAY?

A. Two daily training sessions, 2 hours each, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, for a total of 4 hours.

Q. WHAT WILL THE KIDS DO BETWEEN PRACTICES?

A. In between training sessions, the children can relax by the pool or sea in their dedicated areas, or go to their rooms to rest. Remember that every afternoon there will also be micro-training classes in the classroom and outdoors. Our trained educators will spend the afternoon with the boys in the hobby room or at the marre always available for board games and constructive activities.

Q. WHAT DO THE SPORTS SCIENCE CLASSES INVOLVE?

A. Every year we try to intrigue the kids by giving them small lessons on sports-related topics:

  • Sports nutrition

  • Stretching and joint mobility

  • Breathing techniques

  • Gymnasium (for older children)

    N.B Each year the guest program may vary by week

Q. WILL THE ELITE CHAMPIONS TRAIN WITH US?

A. Water Polo Camp's staff of champions will be able, as needed, to enter the water and demonstrate the correct execution of the gestures. This method makes it easier for kids to learn technically

There will also be classes with a world-class athletic trainer; Prof. Willians Morales. With our nutritionist Dr. Lungonelli and breath coach Mike Maric.

 

Q. DO I NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT WITH ME?

A. Equipment will be provided by us, including the EWPC uniform

Recommended: flip-flops, sunscreen, gym clothes, casual evening wear, a cotton swimming cap for the pool and towels for workouts.

Q. HOW TO GET TO THE POOL FOR PRACTICE?

A. The pool is located in the same complex as our residence hall athletes can access the pool without ever leaving the park

Q. DO YOU HAVE TO ALREADY PLAY WATER POLO OR IS IT POSSIBLE TO PARTICIPATE EVEN FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER PRACTICED?

A. Our camp is geared toward athlete development, although no minimum entry skills are required, it is, however, necessary for athletes to have at least some water polo fundamentals A prerequisite for participation is u membership with a national or international federation (or a sports promotion organization) and a valid medical certificate.

Q. HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THE CAMP?

A. to register for the camp see the sign up section follow the instructions:

  • fill out the Info request on the desired camp page

  • download the brochure, click on the sign up button

  • enter all the athletes' data and submit the form

  • you will receive a confirmation email with a pdf to download to make payment by bank transfer and a camp preparation vademecum

  • once payment is made you do NOT need to send proof, we will contact you if the deposit is not received

Q. WE ARE A GROUP, ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS DEDICATED TO US?

A. Camp discounts are:

  • Groups of at least 5

  • Enrolled previous year

  • Brothers

Q. IS INSURANCE PROVIDED?

A. Boys are covered at the federal insurance included in their membership.

Q. IS REIMBURSEMENT INSURANCE PROVIDED?

It is not possible to purchase insurance that covers a full refund of the fee

Q. HOW ARE THE KIDS DIVIDED UP FOR PRACTICE?

A. Children will be diveded according to age on the first day and on subsequent days according to level. This is done to ensure uniformity in training.
